Soccer Career’s Have Begun!

Well, the girls both kicked off their sports careers this morning with the Edmond Y. It was a fun time. Temperature was nice, but the sun beating down on you for 4 hours is no joke!

Paedyn’s had practice at 10:00 and a game at 10:30. That was over at 11:30. Then Paisly’s game was at nearby field at 12:00 immediately followed by a short walk to a neighboring field for Pressly’s 1:00 game. It was a long day in the sun and everyone is tired!

We had a great day, though. Paedyn did well the first part of game, but quickly decided that she “[didn't] like the sun!” She did a lot of standing in one spot watching the clouds or something! It was cute. She’ll get the hang of it with a little more practice. What do you want from a 3 year old!?! Paisly had a great game. She got the ball a few times and kicked it around and even kept the other team from scoring a goal! Way to Go Paister! It seemed to me that Pressly’s field was huge in comparison to the other kids; but then again she is in the 5 and 6 yr old groups… Lots of running! (She is napping very well at the moment as is everyone else!) She had a good time and did some great kicking. The nickname “Speedy” her coach gave her seems to be sticking, too.

Soccer Stuff

Soccer starts Sept. 10! Had a parents meeting at the Emond YMCA this afternoon and then Desirae and I went to Academy and got the girls some of the equipment. They each got a ball, shin guards, some new tennis shoes for soccer, and some shorts. I’ll pickup their jersey next week! Practice starts soon!

I took a few pictures out in the backyard while they tried out their new stuff! Here is a link the album and my favorite picture of the shoot.

Party Pics Up!

The pictures from the party last night are up! Desirae did the camera duties for me since I was sick and unable to go… I am totally impressed! She did a great job and my camera is still in 100% working order! This is the first time that I gave Desirae a camera and when I got the pictures back about 95% of the pics were in focus and the lighting looked good and everything. I love this camera! And I love my wife for putting up with me!
