Post from my iPhone!

Now I can post to the blog from my iPhone! I can update you on what I am doing when I am doing it! Right from from iPhone. Are you as excited as I am?

I can even attach a photo I took with my phone! This is the view out my window from my hotel room in LA Monday morning – looking out over LAX from the 16th floor of the Crowne Plaza.

Video is back!

I am sure those of you that frequent the site have been asking yourself — where are all the videos that you used to upload? Well, worry no more! I have finally figured out to get movies back in an easy enough way that even Desirae might be able to post them! Well, let’s not kid ourselves! I am still looking for a good Flash Video Encoder to use that rips out the first image of the video to use as a thumbnail, but I have yet to find one that works well with Vista – if you know of one, please let me know!! I sense a C# program in my future!

This is a movie from this past Sunday (Mother’s Day) of Pressly and Paedyn playing peek-a-boo. It is too cute! Enjoy… Let me know if it works okay for you, this is new to me too!

By the way, you may have noticed that I finally fixed the image problem at the top of the page. I know Desirae has been on my case to fix it the past 2 weeks — sorry it took so long, but good things come to those who wait…

OR Booked Solid

I spent most of the day today trying to get the server to cooperate whilst I uploaded the remaining images to the gallery. I am getting very close. I have about 4500 of the over 6000 images from the old site uploaded. Should finish up tomorrow. I have yet to settle on a design for the gallery, but I am waiting to tackle that task after the images are up.

I have yet to devote much time to writing my final paper for my final class, choosing instead to watch basketball for most of the day with Pressly. Okay, maybe she just runs around the house screaming random jibberish, but at least I got to watch most of the games. Oklahoma State played in Stillwater tonight on ESPN Full Court againt Eastern Tennessee State and after a lackluster 10 minutes in the second half — held them scoreless the last 7 minutes of the game and pulled away with a convincing defensive win. Next up: at Pitt next Saturday night.

We visited Dr. Tapia yesterday afternoon and talked him into scheduling the c-section 21 Dec; however, when he called the hospital to schedule the OR, is was booked up already. He is making some calls and Desirae is going to talk to him again on Monday to get everything scheduled and squared away.  We will let you all know as soon as we know when Paedyn will be joining the family. It looks like the date likely to slip closer to Christmas. We are still working on getting Dr. Tapia to slide sooner than later, but are having no luck. Dr. knows best right?

Making Progress…

I have made good progress on the site; however, as you might notice, I am having some trouble getting our photo gallery lined out. I had everything uploaded, but had to reinstall the gallery software, which required me to re-upload all the photos. That is happening now, but I keep get getting disconnected from the server, so I will have to start it again when I get home tonight. I really hope to have this all done by the time Paedyn arrives in a few weeks.

Now you can Register as a user on the site and be able to login to make comments. It will keep you from having to enter your name and email address everytime you make a comments on a post. Just click “Register” on the right to complete the process.

I am in the last few weeks of my Master’s program now! I take my last final on Dec. 18! I am in the process of writing my last paper and am really looking forward to being done with school. In a few weeks I will have a Master’s of System Architecture and Engineering from The Univeristy of Southern California. It will keep that management door open for me in the future and should broaden the fields that I could potentially work in future days.

I will let Desirae give you the Family News, she is really enjoying being able to make a posts even from her office. I expect she will keep you much better updated than I did in the past.
