Pressly

Pressly Update

Pressly slept good through the night and only ran a slight fever just before bedtime. We were able to keep the fever down with motrin and tylenol easily. Desirae took her to see her pediatrician this morning early and they found that she does have an irritated throat; so perhaps we are the beginning of some viral infection. They are also doing a culturebon her urine specimen to see if there was a faint kidney infection. She is playing comfortably today and acting like her normal talkative self. Didnt want you to worry!

Today I started working on the landscaping in the front yard and have a lot left to do! The builder did some landscaping prior to our move-in but it’s not really our style. I have been mosty pulling all the stuff Desirae and I don’t “dig” and will soon be replacing it with some color. Have a good weekend! It’s time to watch some basketball!

A Trip to the ER

Pressly had a fever of 103.8 this afternoon and was acting very lethargic; long story short – Desirae took Pressly to the ER at Mercy. She called me at work and I high tailed it to the hospital. We waited the pre-requisite 5 hours in the ER to finally learn that they could not find anything wrong with her! No kidney infection; no strep throat… Nothing. Desirae is convinced that she does actually have a kidney infection – and is ready to drive all over the earth until she finds someone to tell her it’s a kidney infection! It probably is a kidney infection, especially given her history and Desirae and Donielle’s kidney history. In the morning we are going to go see the urologist and have more thorough test done. We will let you know how it turns out. Rest assured that Pressly is doing fine tonight. Sleeping comfortably and running a mild fever. We will keep you updated!

Playing Together

I am sitting at the LAX waiting for my flight to take me home for the weekend and Desirae just sent me this picture of the two girls happily playing together on the floor. Thought you might enjoy it.

Girls Girls Girls

Since my husband failed to make an update regarding our family while he was home, I thought I would do the honors. I also plan to upload the pictures today (it will be my first time though, so it may take a few tries).

Trey got in this past weekend for a nice holiday weekend with us Okie Girls. We got to spend 2 and 1/2 days together this time. It was great. I picked him up at the airport and we got back to the house where two surprised little girls were waiting. Pressly was so excited she kept telling him hi and giving him kisses. She also HAD to sleep with us that night. She was so excited that she had an extremely difficult time trying to go to sleep as well. She kept sitting up and hugging us both. My poor sweet girls miss their Daddy. Paedyn just kept staring at him and smiling. She loves to smile and rub Trey’s face.

We didn’t have any big adventures out side of spending time as a family and hanging out with the McNabb side of the clan. The girls all went to Wal-Mart and played on the 4th; while the guys worked on getting the new cars figured out as well as working on Lindel and Donielle’s flower beds. That evening we went to the Larison’s for hot dogs and Pressly had her first really firework experience. The other two girls are too young to really know, but Paisly liked to watch as she drank her milk. Pressly was commenting on all of the far off big fireworks no problem. But the nice little show that Trey put on scared her a few times. She thought something happened to her Daddy or that they were going to hurt us all. But she still says she liked the fireworks and they were scary (too). My little girl is growing up so fast.

Trey got to experience the joys of potty training Pressly (who by the way, used the potty 4 times yesterday afternoon/evening, without spending hours in the bathroom playing either YEAH). He also got to see how mobile Paedyn is this days. She is doing really well at rolling around, scooting, sitting up with support, and she loves to stand up. She is such a happy baby. He also got to take part in a water gun fight with the whole McNabb family. Pressly loved it and we have even taught her how to shot the little water guns herself. She loves it.

I know that this new adventure in Oklahoma is trying at times and we miss Trey more than words can describe; however, I know that we will get through this and be settled soon. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Video is back!

I am sure those of you that frequent the site have been asking yourself — where are all the videos that you used to upload? Well, worry no more! I have finally figured out to get movies back in an easy enough way that even Desirae might be able to post them! Well, let’s not kid ourselves! I am still looking for a good Flash Video Encoder to use that rips out the first image of the video to use as a thumbnail, but I have yet to find one that works well with Vista – if you know of one, please let me know!! I sense a C# program in my future!

This is a movie from this past Sunday (Mother’s Day) of Pressly and Paedyn playing peek-a-boo. It is too cute! Enjoy… Let me know if it works okay for you, this is new to me too!

By the way, you may have noticed that I finally fixed the image problem at the top of the page. I know Desirae has been on my case to fix it the past 2 weeks — sorry it took so long, but good things come to those who wait…

Princess Parade

Well my little girls surprise us more everyday.  Pressly is such a big girl now she tends to think she is the boss.  She demands thing occasionally and throws the occasional tantrum.  Now don’t get me wrong, she doesn’t fall of the ground kicking and screaming, but she does walk of as she says, “I WANT” and tears up.  She is so cute even when she is being a toot.  The funniest thing is if Pressly cries so does Paedyn.  I guess they have that sister connection like Donielle and I have always had (or claim).  Pressly is now playing hide and seek, tag, row, row and even calls Nana/Poppa whenever she feels like it.  Paedyn is growing up way to fast.  She loves to play on the floor she can roll over and even tries to get her little chubby knees up under here to chase her sister.  She has decided that she loves dinner time since we added sweet potatoes to her evening meal.  Next week, I will try bananas I think in the morning as well.  She is such a great baby who sleeps through the night and all.  The only problem I have with here is that she is either teething or thinks she is suppose to eat everything she can get her hands on now.  Her sock are either kicked off within seconds or pulled off and in her mouth.  I love my little girls so much.Yesterday, Paedyn and I where chasing Pressly as she giggled like crazy.  Then Pressly went to get her own baby to carry during the game of tag.  Then I ask if she wanted to hold my baby (Paedyn) and she threw her baby on the ground and wanted her sister.  We went to the couch and Pressly held her sissy for a bit and I got a cute picture on my phone.  I will have to try to get Trey to put in on the website some how.

Morrison Adventures

Well, I know it has been a while since we have provided a good update on our lives.  There has been a lot going on and we will fill everyone in soon.  But I wanted to give everyone a quick update on the girls.  Paedyn is growing like a weed.  She is outgrowing clothes fast than I can get them back from Donielle and Paisly.  She rolled over last week, tries to sit up, and can reach her toys and make them make sounds.  She had a mini tea party with her sister yesterday even. (There will pictures upload soon).  She is such a happy, easy-going girl.  I am truly blessed.  Pressly is become more independent and mischievous every day.  She now unplugs the phone and OJO on a daily basis, climbs on the couch like a monkey, and continues to try to take care of her sister.  All of these little feats are done with no fear of injury.  She has also became a not stop chatterbox.  I love talking with her and listening to how dramatic she is about many things.  (OOOh No!!)  My two little princesses are my everything and I love watching them grow and develop.  I just hope they don’t grow up too fast.

Belated Easter Ramblings

We have been a little lax in reporting our family affairs, and for that I apologize… There is much to tell about the girls! Pressly is ever so talkative and always trying to hold a conversation with you; except that it is still pretty hard to tell what she is trying to say – she is bubbly and happy and getting more independent everyday. I guess she takes after me! Paedyn is really getting big! She is filling out a lot faster than Pressly did, and at 3 months old now, is smiling at us and laughing ever so often.  They are real hoot!

This last weekend (by the way, Happy belated Easter!) we headed to Oklahoma to see family. We stopped in Tulsa and visited Grammy, Pappy, Aunt Nenny, and Uncle Bob and also made a stop by the Hospital to see Memaw; She is in good spirits and we are praying for her quick recovery. Next we headed to Edmond, where I helped Uncle Bump install a sprinkler system on his acre of clay! It was a tough go for awhile, but we got under control and when I left Sunday, he was getting close to finishing! Cousing Paisley is becoming more and more mobile as she can walk around the coffee table as long as she has something to steady herself on and is beginning to talk a little too! We did an egg hunt for the girls on Sunday morning at Nana and Poppa’s house and Pressly just loved it! She kept kissing her eggs and hugging them when she found them! It was precious. I took pictures, but I have not uploaded them yet. I will try to do it tonight. Ta ta for now!

Life of a Working Mom

Now that I am back to work, I have began slacking off on my website updates.  I go to work and then return to the house and try to spend every minute with the girls.  Pressly is struggling with the lack of attention in the evening especially since we are both at work during the day.  She is having some “baby moment” like wanting to play with the baby toys, get in the crib, and play with the bouncy chair.  Most of the time she is okay about it all though.  She is still talking up a storm and can count to five most times and get to “D” by herself on the alphabet.  Then through prompting we can get to “G”.  She can sing part of “Who Built the Ark” the chorus part, but she is a bit confused on the name since she sings “Nana, Nana” instead of “Noah, Noah”.  But I think alot of my mom too. Her favorite thing to do to get our attention is try to go behind the living room chair and coach.

Paedyn is a happy smiley girl all of the time.  The only exception would be when she has overslept and needs to eat or is wet.  She coos and girgles a talks like she thinks she is a big girl.  She watches Pressly’s every move and loves to get kisses from the family.  She has had her first shots and now weighs 11 pounds almost.  This is hopefully a sign that she does not have kidney issues like Pressly, but we should hear back on the ultrasounds we had last Monday some time this coming week.

Trey has been extremely busy with our newest “project”.  We are trying to get all aspects started so that we can have the best end result.  There has been alot of work on all of our parts and we are just praying for God to lead us the right direction.

In other news,  Mam-maw (my mom’s mom) fell this last Thursday and broke her hip.  She had surgery yesterday and appears to be doing good.  Hopefully we can make a trip in the near future and get to visit her.  She needs to meet Miss Paedyn.

That Beautiful Smile

Well, it is official…Pressly is growing up way too fast.  She went to the dentist for the first time yesterday and it was great.  She and I took a ride in the dentist chair to check out her teeth.  She has 11 of the 20 baby teeth and she let the dentist count them with minimal fighting.  She got stickers, a pink balloon, and a Winnie the Pooh tooth brush.  YEAH!  She is such a big girl.

She has also been taking showers with me at night so that I can get her hair rolled before we go to bed.  She likes to run through the water and then want to soap herself up.  It is so cute.  Then when she is done she plays with the hand-held shower head while I finish up.  Then we do the hokey pokey and then we get out and she dries herself off.  Of course, I do the actually washing and drying, after she make her effort at it.

Paedyn is doing great, as well.  She is staying awake for a couple hour at a time at least twice to three times a day.  She appears to getting Trey’s eyelashes like her sister as well.  She is so wide-eyed and wondering.  I love it.  She is a happy baby 95% of the time, but loves to listen to music and move around when she gets too tired.  I am very fortunate to have my two little girls, who are my life.
