Party Pics Up!
The pictures from the party last night are up! Desirae did the camera duties for me since I was sick and unable to go… I am totally impressed! She did a great job and my camera is still in 100% working order! This is the first time that I gave Desirae a camera and when I got the pictures back about 95% of the pics were in focus and the lighting looked good and everything. I love this camera! And I love my wife for putting up with me!

It’s Pressly and Paisly’s Birthday Party! And I Can’t Go…
We are having Pressly and Paisly’s birthday parties tonight over at the Larison’s! Sausage and birthday goodies for all! Pressly is so excited…
Unfortunately for me, I just got back from urgent care and the Doc says my strep test was negative, but my white count is very high. Looks like my body is trying its darnedest to fight off a virus. I have a low grade fever and body aches to boot. Doc says I am considered “highly contagious” for 48 hours and my best course of action is to just rest and abide by a liquid diet… Awesome!
Looks like Desirae is going to take the kiddos over for the party and leave me here…
but its the smart thing to do I suppose. I’d hate to give anyone this and Desirae is supposed to be having surgery on Wednesday morning. We need to ask her doctor how he feels about the surgery with her possibly being exposed to whatever this is.
My parents had to cancel due to a procedure this afternoon and I told my sister not to come since its supposed to be softball sized hail this evening in our weekly thunderstorm. There will still be plenty that can make the party so I think it should be on to start in a few minutes!
Happy Father’s Day
Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. I myself had a pretty relaxing day. I went to the grocery store, made dinner, took a 4 hour nap… Not in that order! The house is still recovering from our return from vacation as the kids thought it wise to basically pull out all the toys they missed over the past 8 days!
I must admit that I kind of failed as a Son today in that I wished my Dad a happy day via Facebook but failed to call him and actually speak to the man! Sorry about that Dad! It really wasn’t on purpose. The day just got away from me. But know that I am thinking about you, even if it is technically tomorrow (12:20 right now).
Vacation ends in about 6 hours when I go to work… Ugh!
Halfway Home!
We got up around 9:00 this morning and got the car loaded down by 11:00 and were off. Except for the previously mentioned successive stops, it was a pretty easy day of driving even though we covered 705 miles just under 12 hours! The kids did great considered what we asked of them for the day. One more day like this one and we will be home tomorrow night one day early with some time to relax.
A few pictures from the car below… The USS Alabama in Mobile is a pretty cool sight from the highway, and so the tunnel under the bay is a fun time too when your just driving on highway for hours on end! Though you might want to see our route from the day too… Not to shabby!
Disney World, Day 4
Just getting to the party? Check out Day 1, Day 2, and Day 3 to be fully up to speed!
Today was our last day of tickets to Disney. We went to Magic Kingdom, again! This time we slept in a little to avoid the nightmare that is the opening of the park at 9:00am and showed up at the gates around 10:00am instead. We went straight to Town Square, where we got in line to see Mickey and Minnie “backstage” at their magic show. The kids got to talk to, take pictures with, and hug both Mickey and Minnie! The kids had a field day… especially little Prielle, who seems to be just absolutely in love with both of them!
Next up was a date with the princesses… Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty for those of you not in the know like me!), Belle (that’s the Beauty that loves the Beast!), and Cinderella (do I really need to explain that one?!). I’ll just the pictures do the talking – dreams came true today for several little people in the Morrison and Larison families.
We had lunch at over by the Tomorrowland world (it was actually pretty good, suprisingly) and then hit the Buzz Lightyear Spin ride where you get strapped into a car with a joydtick and a couple of guns and go shooting at all kinds of Toy Story targets. It was pretty awesome! I scored 210,900 points. Not sure if that’s good or not – but it sounds like a bunch!!
We ran into the White Rabbit and Tigger and Pooh Bear on our way back into Fantasyland, so we grabbed a few pictures with the Rabbit, and yelled our loudest at Tigger and Pooh. The Winnie the Pooh ride had a terribly long line the entire time we were there both days, and we never did get to ride it. We headed over to Aladdin’s Magic Carpets and got a magic carpet ride before finally calling it a day. The kids were sweating, the parent were sweating; it was hot. We were all ready to get back to the hotel.
Today was a good day for star sightings! We saw: Mickey, Minnie, Princess Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Pluto, Daisy, Goofy, Donald the Duck, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, That girl cowboy from Toy Story (I can’t remember her name!), Mr. Incredible, Mr. Freeze, Peter Pan, Capt. Hook, The Mad Hatter, The White Rabbit, The Genie, Aladdin, Princess Jasmine… ok, I could on, but you get the picture I think. The girls has a great day today and it was a nice end to our Disney trip.
We finished the day off cooking out on the grill at the hotel and eating up in Nana and Poppa’s Presidential Suite! O0h Laalaa!
Looks like we might get up in the morning and go ahead and hit the road. Its a long way back to Edmond and we don’t want to force the kids to be stuck in the car 12 hours a day…
Again… http://picasaweb.google.com/don.f.morrison/DisneyWorld for all pictures from the trip!
Disney World, Day 3
A day off from Disney… today we just vegged out at the hotel. We got up around 9:30 or so, went for a swim, ate some lunch, took a long (way too long) nap, and had dinner! Exciting days!!
I have only a few pictures of the day, and there is really not much to tell… There are 3 noteworthy things from the day.
1. Paedyn is swimming in her life-jacket (and jumping) in the pool all by herself! We have two little swimmers now!
Well, its aweful hard to follow that so the rest a little lackluster…
2. We had dinner at Kobe Steakhouse. Of course we did… after all – those are my favorite kind of places to eat!
3. We tried to watch the fireworks at Epcot from the balcony of the Presidential Lounge at the hotel (thanks for the access Nana and Poppa!) but were thwarted by a lightening storm. I tried to take some pictures of it and got some okay ones with my camera, but I have some learning to do!
I did manage to get one good lightening shot… but it could be a lot better if I learned how to adjust my white balance and exposure levels. I have shutter speeds and f-stops in good order already!
As always… view the entire album over @ http://picasaweb.google.com/don.f.morrison/DisneyWorld.
