July, 2010:

July Adventures

Okay, so we are getting really bad about updating our website and it is a bit depressing.  However, we have been actively enjoy the summer.  Pressly, Paedyn, and Paisly are all taking swimming lessons together.  Trey has a video I believe.  I will try and take some more today.  The first couple of days I wasn’t sure how the girls would do so I has in the water or hovering close to them.  The are doing amazing though.  They are so excited about it.

Pryce is now 9 months old and eating like a champ.  He is the happiest little guy.  However, he is extremely spoiled.  He doesn’t really want to try moving by himself.  He will roll around a little, but then he just hollers at you.  He now has 4 teeth, which he shows off all of the time.

Well I had better get back to work.

July 4th Videos Galore

In case you are totally oblivious to all the fireworks and American fervor that occurred over the weekend, we just celebrated our nation's independence… Well, actually… July 4th, 1776 is the day that the "United States" signed the Declaration of Independence; however, the legal separation of the Thirteen Colonies from Great Britain occurred on July 2, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress voted to approve a resolution of independence that had been proposed in June by Richard Henry Lee of Virginia. Afterwards, John Adams wrote in a letter to his wife Abigail that "the second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America." Good history lesson, eh!? In any case… I captured the events of July 3rd and 4th of the year 2010 with my iPhone 4 and have summarized the weekend into three 1 minute videos complete with some background music all from the comfy confines of my iPhone 4 with iMovie. Enjoy!

We took the kids to the see the Fourth of July "Liberty Fest" Parade in downtown Edmond. Marching bands, cheerleaders, shriners, fire trucks – oh, yes! And much more!

Next, we had a good ole' fashioned cookout at the Larison ranch with the McNabb's and did some fireworking of our own!

Finally, we trekked east to Tulsa to watch some fireworks with the Morrison and Schaum side of the family.
